In recent years, Asian horror movies have invaded the hearts and scared the bejesus out of American audiences and with good reason. Many of the Asian horror movies forgo expensive special effects for good old story telling and chilling atmospheres.

“Ju-on" -- translates into The Grudge -- is a popular Japanese horror movie that spawned a sequel and an American remake produced by Sam Raimi. “Ju-on” features the typical pale, Japanese ghost with long, flowing black hair that is deadly in its own right. Kayako’s jealous husband hangs himself in their home after brutally murdering his wife, son Toshio and his cat. The vengeful ghosts haunt their home, taking their anger out on anyone who dares to enter the house. At its core, Ju-on is a ghost story focusing on pain and revenge.
